Living in Incline Village

Incline Village is a quiet, peaceful community on the stunning Lake Tahoe, allowing residents to live the luxurious lifestyle they dream of. From hiking in the summer to skiing in the winter, the area certainly tends towards an active and outdoors-based lifestyle, but plenty of cultural pursuits and shopping can be found as well. Incline Village is about living your dream life, unburdened by stress and unrestricted by location.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The restaurants in Incline Village have built quite a reputation for amazing cuisine. Bite, a small restaurant offering American-style tapas like sliders, grilled asparagus, and deviled eggs, is also home to unique artisan cocktails - the High Road, for instance, features strawberry flavors, neatly complemented by the smokiness of bourbon. For French influences, Le Bistro provides contemporary takes on classic recipes, including filet mignon and lobster bisque, all served in a gorgeous, cozy setting.

The dining room at Lone Eagle Grille overlooks Lake Tahoe, making it the perfect place to dine as the sun sets over the vista. Try their seared scallops or their tender duck breast for a decadent meal, and don’t miss dessert – their Tiramisu rivals that in Italy. In contrast, Austin’s provides classic family recipes without sacrificing quality. A balsamic glaze elevates Sunday meatloaf, retaining the comfort aspect while bringing some new flavors to excite your palette.

Head to Tahoe Boulevard for the best shopping, where residents can choose from an array of small boutiques, including Forever Rox, Handmade at the Lake, and North Tahoe Knits.

Incline Village is home to some beautiful beaches for laying out, playing volleyball, or swimming. Incline Beach offers a full-service bar for summer cocktails, as well as picnic areas and a playground, as does Burnt Cedar Beach. Ski Beach lends itself to more active beachgoers, with a volleyball court, a bocce court, and a boat launch. People who prefer woods over beaches will want to hit Flume Trail, which offers 22 miles of hiking through the lush forest.

In the winter, Diamond Peak Ski Resort offers some of the best ski trails in the area. Teachers on staff offer ski and snowboarding classes to all ages, from toddlers to adults. A season pass to the resort is a must-have for residents.

While the Lake Tahoe region is home to a number of events, one of the most popular is right in Incline Village - the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. The six-week festival features live performances of some of the Bard’s best plays with Lake Tahoe as a beautiful backdrop. Bring a picnic or grab a snack from Shakespeare’s Kitchen and enjoy watching amazing actors bring words to life.
