The Ponderosa Subdivision is a beautiful Incline Village neighborhood. Elevation range for the subdivision is 6,325ft down on Lodgepole Drive, up to 6,600ft on Knotty Pine Drive. The neighborhood is located at the west end of Incline Village, below the Lower Tyner Subdivision and above Lakeshore Boulevard. Homes here most often times feature “filtered” or “panoramic” lake views of Lake Tahoe. Locals and second homeowners alike enjoy the atmosphere the Ponderosa Subdivision provides. 

Both First Creek and Second Creek flow through the neighborhood, creating a truly special setting. The United States Forest Service as well as IVGID have purchased several parcels in the neighborhood. They’ve done so to preserve the natural setting. 

On the corner where Knotty Pine Drive loops around to Dale Drive is a fabulous hike, the Gayle Trail Loop. This trail is a 2.6mi loop rated as “moderate” by All Trails. It will take most hikers 1h 38m to complete and has an elevation gain of 859ft. The highlight is lake views and the opportunity to see wildlife in the First Creek ravine.
