If you’re in the mood for steak, head to the Crystal Bay Steak and Lobster House in Crystal Bay Casino. Their surf-and-turf option is the perfect marriage of a seared steak and tender lobster tail.
Head to Caliente! for an upscale Mexican dinner with a bit of heat. Their Yucatan sea bass uses bright lime to contrast the spices, while the mole enchilada is the perfect balance of dark smoky flavors and bright pico de gallo. Don’t forget to try a drink off of their signature cocktail menu.
Things to Do
Crystal Bay is home to four casinos, the most popular of which is the Crystal Bay Casino, complete with slot machines and every table game you can imagine. When you’re finished gambling, the event rooms feature live performances in a variety of genres from music to comedy.
When you need a little time alone with nature, head to the Stateline Lookout, a mile-and-a-half hike that takes you up to a spot with a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains in the distance. While it’s a short distance, the steepness of the trail increases the challenge, so it’s perfect for hikers of all skill levels.
During the summer, visit Speedboat Beach, a sandy stretch of shore where residents like to lay in the sun, picnic, walk, or take a canoe out on the water. It’s a great way to get a break from the heat and to feel like you’re on vacation, even at home.
