Located on the east side of Lake Tahoe, Glenbrook is a small, rural community originally founded to supply timber to Carson City. While the logging has since stopped, the long history of the town has remained, evident in the older buildings, many have which have been rejuvenated as small businesses. The town has several small shops for shopping, and its proximity to other Tahoe towns makes it easy for residents to find more shopping options within minutes.

Most of the local population live in beautiful cabin-like homes with cedar shingles, stucco, or stone facades, increasing the rustic appearance and complementing the historic downtown area.
