Resting right on the border of California and Nevada, Stateline is one of the most popular towns on Lake Tahoe. It’s home to four casinos, a golf course, a ski resort, and numerous hiking trails, offering plenty of things to do. The area is also dotted with gorgeous beaches for swimming, boating, fishing, or watersports.
Residents stay entertained with the ever-changing live performances that come to the area to do shows at the casinos. Past acts have included the Rat Pack, Sublime, and more. Nearby towns provide plentiful shopping and further activities.

The different casinos in Stateline offer different dining experiences to guests and residents of the area. The Hard Rock’s Oyster Bar is Tahoe’s only raw seafood bar. While their raw bar is extensive and extremely fresh, they have cooked dishes as well – jambalaya, gumbo, and more. Bally’s, on the other hand, is home to the Ciera Steak and Chophouse, where they serve an elk chop with a cherry demi-glace for the adventurous eaters. Harrah’s combines steak and seafood in Friday’s Station. The menu changes seasonally, but diners can enjoy dishes such as filet mignon topped with king crab legs, chicken marsala, and sea bass, all served with your choice of fruity cocktails off their extensive menu.
The Edgewood Tahoe Resort is the height of fine dining in the area, with modern Italian takes on fresh seafood and a hint of gastronomic influence. The turbot is a particular star, but any of the dishes are capable of impressing your flavor palette.
Harvey’s Casino is a great source of fun in Stateline. A variety of slots and table games can be found, and when you’re done gambling, venture to the attached Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena for concerts and comedy shows. Past performers have included the incomparable Robin Williams, Norah Jones, and the Chainsmokers.
Edgewood Tahoe Resort is home to a stunning golf course designed by George Fazio and updated by his nephew Tom Fazio, which has been challenging golfers of all skill levels to improve their swing since the 1960s.
In the winter, hit the slopes at Heavenly Ski Resort and show off your best slalom skills. Those new to skiing can take lessons before they try it on their own, but experienced skiers will love the challenge of the more challenging terrain in Mott Canyon and Killebrew Canyon.
