Late spring in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe with paddleboarders on the water — shared by Incline Village real estate agent Cole Mizak

Best Late Spring Activities Around Incline Village and Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe Cole Mizak April 14, 2025

By Cole Mizak — Incline Village Real Estate Agent, Compass

As an Incline Village real estate agent, I spend a lot of time exploring every corner of Lake Tahoe. One of the best times of year around here is late spring — when the snow is melting, the trails are clearing, and the lake starts waking up for summer. Whether you're a local, a visitor, or browsing Incline Village homes for sale, here are some of my favorite late spring activities in and around Incline Village.

1. Paddleboarding or Kayaking on Tahoe’s East Shore

Late spring is when the lake starts to thaw out of its winter chill. Calm mornings are perfect for paddleboarding or kayaking from Sand Harbor or Hidden Beach. The water clarity this time of year is unreal — especially if you launch early.

Real estate tip: Many Incline Village homes for sale come with easy lake access or private beach options. For buyers looking for that true Tahoe lifestyle, waterfront properties are always in high demand.

2. Hiking Tunnel Creek Trail

Tunnel Creek is a local favorite, especially in late spring. The trail winds through towering pines and opens up to breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Snow usually clears by late May, making it a perfect hike before the summer crowds arrive.

As an Incline Village realtor, I always tell clients: living here means these trails are practically your backyard.

3. Dining Outdoors at Tunnel Creek Café

After a day on the trails or the lake, Tunnel Creek Café is the go-to local spot for casual outdoor dining. It sits right at the base of the Tunnel Creek Trail, making it the perfect place to refuel after a hike or bike ride. Their patio is relaxed, dog-friendly, and surrounded by that classic Tahoe scenery.

As an Incline Village realtor, I’m always telling clients: the vibe here is exactly what life in Incline Village is all about — laid-back, outdoorsy, and community-driven. Plus, it’s a great place to catch locals swapping trail stories or real estate tips over a cold drink.

4. Golfing at Incline Village Championship Course

Golf season kicks off in late spring, and Incline Village has some of the best mountain golf around. The Championship Course offers stunning views, challenging holes, and a classic Tahoe feel.

Many Incline Village homes for sale back right up to the golf course — a dream setup for anyone looking for that perfect balance of recreation and relaxation.

5. Exploring Flume Trail (Mountain Biking or Hiking)

For those feeling adventurous, the Flume Trail is legendary. It’s known for its sweeping lake views and thrilling descents. Late spring is when the snow melts just enough to open this trail to mountain bikers and hikers.

As an Incline Village realtor, I know that access to trails like these is a huge selling point for outdoor lovers considering moving to Lake Tahoe.
